Setting the Table--Sharing Stories of Our Gay Catholic Experience
St. John's Abbey Guest House was the site of a Midwest Regional CALGM Gathering. Those who wished a longer experience gathered on Friday evening and concluded Sunday noon after liturgy and lunch. 2009 Las Vegas--Life In the Desert: Thirsting for the Oasis
Cosponsored by CALGM and Imago Dei, the Gay/Lesbian Catholic Ministries of Southern Nevada, this conference provided life-giving waters and refreshment for our spirits. General Session speakers were Anne Bryan Smollin, CSJ, Ph.D., Dr. James Alison, Todd Salzman, Ph.D., and Michael Lawler, Ph.D., and Harry Knox of the HRC Religion and Faith Program.
2008 Long Beach, CA--I Am Who I Am By the Grace of God
The Los Angeles Archdiocesan Ministry with Lesbian and Gay Catholics co-sponsored the 15th Anniversary NACDLGM Conference (the National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries). We gathered on-board the Queen Mary for a journey toward wholeness. Plenary speakers were Bishop Jaime Soto, Terry DeCrescenzo, MSW, LCSW, Sister Fran Ferder, FSPA, Ph.D., and Bishop Raul Vera Lopez, OP. It was at this conference that the membership officially approved our change of name to the Catholic Association for Lesbian and Gay Ministry.
