A REFLECTION FOR MINISTRY ON THE ST. BLAISE DAY BLESSING

Unfortunately, due to low advance registration, "One Faith, One Baptism," the CALGM regional conference originally scheduled for March 26 in Raleigh, has been cancelled.   Special thanks to the Raleigh Ministry that did such a tremendous job planning for this gathering!

 Homily for the 27^th Sunday in Ordinary Time—October 3, 2010

 The Liturgical readings last week (the 21^st Week in Ordinary Time) speak challengingly to those who minister within the faith community. And the central themes continue during the 22^nd week as well. Clearly, the message is important. What is it I’m hearing?

Sheila Nelson, sociologist at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, is conducting a survey of GLBT persons, their families and friends, and those who minister to these populations in the Catholic Community.  If you are interested in participating, click on the attached "letter of invitation".  There you will find directions for accessing the survey on-line.  All responses are confidential.  Please share this information with anyone you think would be interested so that we can get as broad a representation as possible.
